More Fun to be Had

Ocean DriveOcean Drive runs past Fort Adams State Park, Hammersmith Farm, Gooseberry and Bailey's Beaches, and ends on Bellevue near the mansions. Stop at the Inn at Castle Hill for a cocktail and a cliffside view.

Newport MansionsMost of the summer "cottages" are located on Bellevue Avenue and offer a glimpse of the "Guilded Age" of Newport. You can tour any of the mansions - or take in a quick "drive-by". We recommend a detour (a left on Victoria Avenue to Ochre Point) to see The Breakers.

Bowel's Wharf and Bannister's WharfEighteenth century historic wharf area off Thames Street. Boutiques, restaurants, and craftsmen's workshops on cobble-stoned streets a la South Street Seaport.

Touro Synagogue

Cliff WalkA foot path that follows the ocean side of the Newport Mansions. See: www.cliffwalk.com. Wear reasonable shoes!
