Please assume it will take at least 30 minutes to get to the Church from
downtown Newport!- From America's Cup Avenue, turn Left onto Memorial Blvd. heading out of Newport
and towards Middletown
(you will pass Easton's Beach on your right)
- Stay straight onto Purgatory Road and head through the Yield Sign
(do not follow the road through the traffic light)
- Take the first right turn onto Tuckerman Avenue
(the area is a residential neighborhood)
- Go straight through the Stop Sign and continue straight on Tuckerman Avenue
(the Ocean will be on your right)
- At the end of Tuckerman Avenue, turn right onto Purgatory Road
- Take your first right turn at the Sachuest Beach sign
(beach parking will be on your right)
- Bear left at the Gazebo
(there will be a small sign for the Norman Bird Sanctuary)
- Continue straight through the Four-Way Stop Sign
(A small sign for St. Columba's Church will be on your left-hand side
and the Ocean will still be on your right side)
- Continue approximately 8/10s of one mile and turn left onto Vaucluse
Avenue.
- St. Columba's Berkley Memorial Chapel is just ahead on the right.
You will find parking opposite the Church. |
